Sacred Rest

Restorative Yoga Class with Thai Bodywork

About

This is a restorative yoga class enhanced with Thai bodywork, created as a space to slow down, soften, and receive. Restorative yoga is a gentle, meditative practice that uses long-held, fully supported postures to allow the body to release tension without effort or strain. With the support of props, the body is invited into deep relaxation, giving the nervous system time to shift into the parasympathetic “rest and restore” state where healing, integration, and balance naturally occur. This practice can help calm the mind, improve sleep, reduce stress, and cultivate a deeper sense of presence and self-awareness.

Paired with the nurturing touch of Thai bodywork (gentle compressions, traction, and therapeutic touch) restorative yoga becomes an even more powerful experience. The bodywork helps encourage circulation and energy flow while deepening the sense of support and relaxation within each posture. Together, these practices create a unique opportunity to unwind physical tension, quiet the mind, and reconnect with a natural state of ease and spaciousness.
